Dove Hill Farm has 134+ acres with multiple pastures, paddocks, hay fields, and riding areas. We have two stables, each with their own tack room, with eleven stalls total. The stables are described in greater detail under Farm Buildings.
The farm is comprised of a mix of pastures, hay fields woodlands and stream beds. There are over 20 acres of horse pastures divided between two large pastures and seven paddocks of varying sizes. There are 40 acres of hay fields, more than sufficient to grow all of our own hay. There are 67 acres of woodlands.
The 150’ x 250’ riding ring has excellent footing and drainage. It has a sand over a stone dust base. A variety of jumps are ground poles are provided.
There are miles of riding trails winding throughout the farm through fields, woods and streams. There is varied terrain with hills for fitness training. A cross country schooling course and a 20 meter x 40 meter dressage ring with grass footing are also provided. Dove Hill Farm hosts various equine events and fox chasing events.
There is ample room to park horse trailers, both for those boarding their horses at Dove Hill Farm and for visitors.
The caretaker’s house next to the stable has a front room with ½ bath that is available to our boarders. It is a convenient place to cool off in the summer, warm up in the winter, change clothing, and use an indoor bathroom.
